At least 2 Golden Plovers were on the mudflats off the Galena Boardwalk about 30 minutes ago. They were easily seen from the end of the boardwalk; scopes weren't even necessary. The windy conditions, though, had blown out most of the other shorebirds reported earlier, so there were only 10 Kildeer, 2 Pectoral Sandpipers, and 1 Lesser Yellowlegs left. The shorebirds here will probably change-over quickly, but the water level is dropping quickly so the site should remain good for some time.
