Short update: today's 7 hour Local Patch pelagic offshore Vermilion and Huron and west Lorain (to 9.5 miles offshore) scored astounding looks at 11 Parasitic Jaegers (including 2 adults), 3 distant unidentified jaeger species, and three Little Gulls (2 adults, one first year). A blog post with collective photo highlights from the Sept 21 and Sept 27 will be posted in the near future. A smashing 26 total Parasitic Jaegers, 1 Long-tailed, and one Pomarine, plus 7 distant unidentified jaegers brings the total (for two trips) to 35 jaegers between 9 total hours of observation between two trips.
