While returning to my car after TRYING to photograph the black terns, at
Big Island Wildlife Area, I was talking to the caretaker when a mixed
flock of shorebirds went over. I am figuring there were about 5-6
Black-bellied Plovers, around a hundread-ish Dunlin, and just as many
Short-billed Dowitchers...I took a few pics and plan to count them tonight
after I get home from work.
They should be over near the west side of the east pond on LaRue Prospect
if anyone is over that way...wonderful end to the day. :-D
Happy Birding, and God Bless
Steve J
