At the Wilderness Rd. mudflats, south of the Funk Wildlife Area, this evening five "peep" species were found.
One each of Baird's, white-rumped, and western and numerous semipalmated and least sandpipers were seen by Shari Jackson, my wife Rita and me.
The late day sun made for a great study. The western had nice downturned beak and was amid least and semipalmated for good comparison.
