Water levels at Pick Ponds are somewhat refreshed by the recent rains, but waterfowl #s there are still low. Notables for the morning included: Dabbling Ducks - Pick Ponds had small numbers of Shovelers, Green-winged Teal, and Gadwalls, along with the ever-present Mallards and Black Ducks. Gulls have such variable plumages that it would be a great tool if those
posting about them would include include a descriptor such as adult,
juvenile, 1st or 2nd winter, molting, etc.
