Sandspit this morning from 7:00 - 11:00. Plover day! Black-bellied, Golden, SemiPalm and Killdeer were seen today. Never more that two at a time. Maybe as few as 2 Golden, but maybe 6. Black-bellied as few as 2 but less than 4. Half a dozen SPs and Killdeer. Peeps included Least, Pects, SemiSands, Sanderlings. A Stilt Sandpiper was extremely cooperative. A Least Bittern made a cameo and so did 2 Soras and Green herons. High single count of Bald Eagles was 14. 1 Boney made an appearance.
There were A LOT of birders there today - at times pushing 20+.
Good day to all!
Buster
