SEPTEMBER 02, 2016 - CUYAHOGA VALLEY MONTHLY TOWPATH TRAIL CENSUS.ROUTE: Towpath Trail from Red Lock Trailhead south to Merriman Valley. TIME: 6:20am - 4:35pm TEMP.: 55~79~75COND.: Cool & foggy until 7:45am; fog burning off, mostly sunny until 9:50am then clouds/sun mix rest of day; winds light & variable.TRAIL COND.: Damp early, turning dry & ideal (some sections between Peninsula & the Ira Beaver Marsh had newly laid crushed limestone; section from Ira Rd. south to Lock 25 had newly laid asphalt by Perrin Asphalt to fix buckled sections of old asphalt trail.)RIVER COND.: Still very low with many rock and sandbars exposed.FT.MI.: 13.88 OBS.: John Henry & Douglas W. Vogus.
