than 200 common mergansers- many displaying- and 14 common loons, 1 horned
grebe, 1 cormorant, 1 bald eagle, and 2 hooded mergansers. On Maple Bay, 8

Ruby and Golden crowned kinglets now along the old farmstead drive past pavilion. Eastern towhee and Flickers calling. Two Eastern phoebes near pavilion. Notably, zero red breasted nuthatches found. Heard a trill twice that sounded good for pine warbler but never found bird. This site is very good for early pines.
