I’m hearing a sporadic chuckling call of what sounds like a Least Bittern at Logan Lk SP.
It’s about 12:30pm and it’s calling from the thick cattails on the right as you drive towards the Georgian Manner B&B on the road that is like a causeway.
I haven’t been able to spot it but it seems to moving around a bit.
I certainly didn’t see or hear this bird here when I lived in Lancaster a few years ago and came here frequently. I don’t know if there are any records from here.
Some of the local birders might want to watch/listen for it.
My only Ohio sighting is the pair that successfully nested at CVNP at Beaver Marsh.
