Not much going on at either place today. Only highlight at Denison was a Barred Owl hooting a couple times early when it was still quite overcast. Wasn’t terribly far but well out of view. Always a treat to hear. A few Chimney Swifts seen from the parking lot.
As I was leaving a quiet Lobdell, I heard a Magnolia Warbler and was actually able to get good looks at it. Seems late.
Otherwise, it was pretty much the expected breeding birds at both places.
Had 2 male Rose-breasted Grosbeaks at my feeders yesterday and the catbirds appear to be staying so I’m hopeful they’re nesting in my yard.
