I met up with Bob McNulty today at this spot and we were successful in seeing & hearing a couple cooperative Dickcissels as well as a pair of Blue Grosbeaks. At least 2 Bell’s Vireos were singing & seen chasing each other. All along the road.

A flyby lone Sandhill crane was see as well as one Trumpeter Swan. Flyover Killdeer.

I didn’t try for the Least Bittern; instead, I drove to Alum Crk CG in hopes of seeing the W Grebe but the wind had picked up quite a bit so the water at the cove at the beach area was pretty choppy in any case, I didn’t see anything. I didn’t stay long as signs seemed to indicate you needed a CG permit to be there & I didn’t want any issues.

Nothing was at the main Alum Crk beach area except some distant gulls. Several people there & some hearty swimmers.
