Good Sunday Morning
Our morning started with a pileated woodpecker just off the deck. We
observed it pounding on a dead tree by the creek while enjoying a
Sunday morning breakfast. It stayed in this general area for at least
a good 30 minutes before it flew back toward the neighbors Christmas
Tree Farm. A good morning for woodpeckers in general. A red bellied
woodpecker came to the feeders on the deck while a harry and downy
woodpecker visited the front yard suet feeder. What a great way to
start the day.
Happy birding.
