This evening there were quite a few red-breasted mergansers and gulls
feeding on the lake behind my house in North perry. In checking through
them I was able to pick out one winter plumaged RED-NECKED GREBE. There
were also quite a few cormorants mixed in as well as a few lesser scaup and
horned grebes. New migrants included yellow-bellied sapsucker, ruby-crowned
kinglet, and hermit thrush. No owls here.
