This morning I visited Hoover Meadows, a section of the Hoover Nature Preserve, in Delaware County. Activity was moderate but steady and several nice species were present. What a difference walking at a peaceful nature preserve versus the noise of everywhere else. It is easy to loose one's self in this calm, just you and nature. Thinking of the recent discussion on bird-list with regard to Red-tailed Hawks, there were two present at Hoover Meadows, both full adults. They were overshadowed though by the adult Bald eagle and a male Northern Harrier, both of which put on a show.
