We had quite a morning at Chagrin River Park in Eastlake, OH today and I
would like to share some observations with Lisa Chapman, block owner, if she
would please contact me.
Highlights with pictures:
http://picasaweb.google.com/mvalencic/NewBirdsForOBBAFromMyNeighborhood
Bobolinks, male and female (foraging with grub in her bill)
Savannah Sparrow (foraging with a few grubs in its bill)
Immature Barn and Northern Rough-winged Swallows
Also saw a Solitary Sandpiper and Spotted Sandpiper along the Chagrin River.
If you have not visited this county park it is really a nice spot. Lots of
different habitats juxtaposed for great birding. This is where my brother
observed the Great Horned Owl and owlet earlier this spring.
Regards,
Matt Valencic
