Hi all,
I found 5 Black Scoters at the south end of Alum Creek Reservoir at about 8am
this morning. Also present were over 200 American Coots, 25 Ruddy Ducks, 14
Horned Grebes, and a single Common Loon- along with the expected gulls and
landbirds. Keep in mind that waterfowl season has started- these birds were all
out in the middle of the lake, so a scope is necessary.
Also, one Nelson's Sparrow was still present just south of Leonardsburg Rd at
Delaware Wildlife Area- I have found at least one every time I've been there
since the beginning of October.
Good Birding,
Steve Landes
