Today was the first day of the Nature Photo Weekend at NC and arriving for the
event and posing at point blank range for everyone alongside the mallards just
20 ft. or so from the boardwalk was an American coot. I've posted a photo and
it's worth a look just to check out the FEET, at least if you've never seen them
before as was the case with me. Also around were lots of wood ducks and
mallards, a red-tailed hawk, GBH, white-throated sparrows, kinglets, etc.
