On Sunday my friend and I were birding and hiking at the Audubon Wetlands, an Ashland County Park, just east of Ashland. It was a beautiful day and a good many birds thought so too. We saw a sizeable flock of cedar waxwings along the river running through the park--my first of the season and they were beautiful! Also saw several woodpecker species, song sparrows, tv, wb nuthatches, chickadees, a robin :-) and of course, many Canada geese. If you visit the wetlands, be sure you have footwear that will accommodate muddy trails.
