At the Gorge Overlook, two Carolina wrens countersinging. One was only about 15 ft from me and was almost deafening.
Along the Lyons Falls Trail: At least eight veerys; at one location five were within 50 feet of me, singing, calling, and chasing each other. Also northern parulas, hooded warblers, black-throated greens, Louisiana waterthrushes (eyes on - in branches above the rushing river). The (presumably) same winter wren which Ed Schabach reported was occasionally singing.
Along the Hemlock Gorge Trail: About the same selection of warblers, minus black-throated green and plus worm-eating. One of the four waterthrushes was singing; the others were eyes on.
