A quick stop at Wiese Rd and the Boardwalk at the upper end of Hoover Reservoir this afternoon found almost perfect shorebird conditions, with lots of new mud off the boardwalk.  An hour in the area found the following highlights:

Herons,Egrets - 15 Great Blue Herons, 17+ Great Egrets, but no Snowy Egret
Waterfowl - 2 Blue-winged Teal on the flats, along with the expected geese, mallards, & wood ducks
Plovers - 50+ Killdeer, 9 Semipalmated Plovers, 1 Black-bellied Plover
Sandpipers - 2 Gr.Yellowlegs, 12 L.Yellowlegs, 1 Spotted, 6 Least, 15 Semipalmated, 6 Pectorals, 5 Stilt Sandpipers, 8 Short-billed Dowitchers
