June 2008 marks the Bicentennial of Portage County!

17 June, Portage rail-trail, east of Towner's Woods parking lot: blue-winged warbler, chestnut-sided warbler, American redstart, (eight warbler spp for the block). Happy birthday Jeremiah!

18 June, Downtown Akron: northern mockingbird. Howe Rd, Brimfield: pileated woodpecker, bobolink.

20 June, West Branch SP snowmobile trail: pileated woodpecker, blue-winged warblers, cerulean warbler(s), numerous Am redstarts and hooded warblers. I could not find a least flycatcher which was along Rock Spring Rd in late May.
Muzzy Lake, Rootstown: FY male orchard oriole.

Peace,

Gregory Bennett
Akron OH
