Bird numbers were pretty close to numbers from yesterday. Of note today was
a juvenile dark Long-tailed jaeger. It passed by at 8:55 heading west. It
was flying into the wind and was moving somewhat slowly. The bird was
dwarfed by ring-billed and a single herring gull that it passed by. The
very narrow wings and buoyant flight really stood out.
