My son and I birded an area not covered to date for the OBBA – Beartown
Lakes – near Aurora and Bainbridge, OH
http://picasaweb.google.com/mvalencic/BeartownLakesBirds and found 30
species with breeding evidence for the following:
Wood Duck (three females with new ducklings) - pictures
Mallard Duck (two females with young broods) - pictures
American Robin juveniles
Kingbird juveniles – pictures
This is a nice birding spot if you are nearby. We spent about 2 ½ hours
walking around and taking pictures. Covered picnic tables are available and
paths are black top and gravel.
Later I went over to Frohring Meadows and saw and photographed the following
juveniles:
American Robin
Eastern Bluebird
Bobolink
Barn Swallow (last week)
Rough-winged Swallow (last week)
Here is a link to the pictures

Also, heard the Sora in the wetland at least 4 times, always on the far side
of the wetland. The Mallard hen is still leading her brood of about 9 or 10
ducklings around the area where I hear the Sora.
I will be logging today’s findings on the OBBA when I get some time this
week.
Good Birding,
Matt Valencic
Chagrin Falls, OH
