Yesterday afternoon at 5:00 I heard and saw our first killdeer of 2017
flying over our pastures, am upland setting.
Our "latest" killdeer for 2016 occurred in early December. And I suppose
that yesterday's bird represents an arrival of sorts at least for our
particular landform, Flint Ridge.
