I met Larry Jeanblanc at 7:00 this morning at the beach at Buck Creek.
It was a bit foggy, but you could see 100 yards offshore. We scanned
around for 20-30 minutes and did not see it. There were 3 Franklin's
Gulls on the beach with the many Ring-billeds and a few Herrings.
I also checked most of the access spots on the lake from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
tonight and could not find the pelican again.
I did see 3 Common Loons, about 35 cormorants, and 3 female/imm. male
Red-breasted Mergansers.
