Bill, I've been out to Darby Wetlands 4 times in the last couple months, and
I had not seen a Great Blue Heron there either- until yesterday, Nov. 3rd.
One flew from the west and landed in the pond. Lots of coots, and smaller
amounts of Yellowlegs and peeps were around.
I haven't seen any gulls there either, but back in September I saw 4 Caspian
Terns standing in shallow water- a life bird for this landlubber :) Photo
