While helping with breeding bird points for Mound City this morning(5:30-7:30), we found at least 2-Sedge Wrens on territory just south of Chillicothe on sites they own. Also found were a pr.of Blue Grosbeaks. (Delorme-pg.78 b-2)

These units are unfortunately closed to the public. The S.Wren is an uncut hayfield right now..with no plans to bail it this yr...which is good news. I will be trying to confirm breeding for the Atlas Project..the Wren is a code 2-bird...and a good find for our area.

There are also at least 10 to12 Dickcissel also present between the two sites. Grasshopper Sparrow also had good numbers here as well.
