The Kelp Gull was seen this morning at Springfield Lake (Summit Co). The bird lingered fairy long this morning and was not spotted until many of the other gulls flew south. The bird was initially hard to pick up in the heat shimmer, but eventually was spotted and then observed flying south over the area called Lakemore Recreational Park on the south shore. There were also 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls present.

The 2 Cackling Geese previously reported came close to the south shore with a flock of Canada Geese around 8:15 and I was able to get nice photos.
