Hello Everybody:
My wife and I just got back from "Stork Country" on Labor Day. We arrived on the scene at about 9:30 AM, hoping we were not too late to see these misguided southern visitors. Sure enough, as we drove down the small winding road to the wooded pond we saw other birders overlooking the site. Yep, there they were, three  "woodies" enjoying the bounty of the pond. Certainly, "lifers" for us. They were in company with a "handsome" Great Blue Heron, that we all enjoyed, with amazement, as he swallowed a huge Bluegill. What was neat was the fact that we watched the "woodies" up close and personal. Did they put on a feeding show!!
We really enjoyed visiting with other birders. To Bruce Glick, and the others who shared these unique visitors with all of us, we say "THANK YOU".
               HAPPY BIRDING,
Don Plant,  Perrysville, Ohio (Mohican Country)
