Had a great morning birding in Vinton County. Following up on some rather insane (and quite likely false) checklist submissions to eBird, a friend and I spent about 6 hours combing through different parts of the county. Highlights included a pair of male Rusty Blackbirds at the Hope Furnace Trail, right near the picnic area in the water. Also, we had a lone Cliff Swallow foraging over Lake Hope in a swirling mass of Tree Swallows. This is the first Cliff Swallow submitted to eBird in Ohio in 2016, and it does seem a bit on the early side. We also had a small handful of Barn Swallows and Northern Rough-winged Swallows at both Lake Rupert and Lake Hope. Pine Warblers were still plentiful at the Hunter's Camp Ground in Zaleski SF.

Bird on!
