Edgewater Park (Cleveland Lakefront State Park)
West Memorial Shoreway, Cleveland
Partly cloudy, 63 F, wind from SE at 11 mph gusting to 20 mph
Flight direction: West to East
Observer: Paula Lozano & Bob Finkelstein
Today there is a lot more open water west of the mouth of the Cuyahoga River. However, these areas are not close enough to shore to identify any of the distant ducks except red-breasted mergansers.
The following are sightings from Perkins Fishing Access and the east end of the upper field:
BBB (Big Black Bird - temporary id until Buzzard Day) - 5
Northern Harrier - 1, male
Red-shouldered Hawk - 1, immature; bathing in puddle behind restroom building
Red-tailed Hawk - 2
Killdeer - 2
American Crow - XX (estimate ~3 dozen), migrating but also on ice eating fish
