I arrived at about 1:15 pm and stayed until 2:30 pm. The Long-tailed
Duck was present and busy diving. It occasionally stopped to sit and
preen. The closest views and photo opportunities occurred closer to
2:30 pm when the bird was sitting close to the platform on the east side
of the lake. This is a great bird showing up at an unusual location and
providing good close views. When they show up in Ohio, they are not as
accessible as this bird, at least that's my experience.
