At the sand spit on Friday my partner and I observed a single gull with a
black hood among the Bonaparte's Gulls... would it be 100% safe to say we
saw the Black-headed Gull? Not knowing much about gulls, I thought it was
just another Bonaparte's with the hood fully colored.
We also saw 2 Spotted Sandpipers, 2 Dunlin, Sanderlings, 1 Greater
Yellowlegs, 4 Caspian Terns. Around the marsh there were 2 Great Egrets,
Willow Flycatchers, Warbling Vireo, and lots of Yellow Warblers.
