A surprise today at Gordon Park were the 10 or more great egrets in the trees
along the west bank of Dike 14, obscured a bit by the fog about 5:00 pm. I
snapped a couple photos and noticed at the top of a background tree a night
heron in the second photo, later spotting two in the first photo, about even
with the steel crossbar, one on either side, both discernible but hard to pick
out of the background.

At Lakeview there was a single ring necked duck in the upper pond with several
mallards and 8-10 woodies.
