During a short visit to Spring Valley Wildlife Area (Greene County) this afternoon:
At least 2 Soras were calling to each other
Marsh Wren
Swamp Sparrow
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Female Purple Finch at the feeders near the upper parking lot
Lots of Pied-billed Grebes with the Coots on the lake, along with one Shoveler and a few Scaup
The Red-shouldered Hawk was sitting on the nest that can be seen from the parking lot
At my house, a few miles from SVWA, lots of Chipping Sparrows in the yard today.
