About 5:30PM today, there was a lot of bird activity at Guilford Lake. Blizzard like conditions were covering the ground with snow. Best viewing was on the southeast corner of the lake from the parking area at "The Mark's Landing Restaurant". The following are some of the highlights: Common Loon~24,  Mute Swan~2,  Wood Duck~12 males,   Redhead~1 male,   Ring-necked Duck~30+,   Lesser Scaup~50+,   Bufflehead~26+,   Hooded Merganser~40+,   Red-breasted Merganser~200+,   Ruddy Duck~60+,   Pied-billed Grebe~12+,   Horned Grebe~6+,   Bonaparte's Gull~3 (1 already with black head),   Red-headed Woodpecker~1,   Eastern Phoebe~1,   American Robin~150+, and American Pipit~50+.
