Subject: Fish Crows in Ashtabula
To: [log in to unmask]

Hi Cole-

Pulled your e-mail off the Ohio birds list, and based on your photos on
flickr, figured you were from the NE Ohio region. I am working in Ashtabula
this week, and thought it would be worth passing along that I saw and heard
2 Fish Crows there earlier this evening. They were on the powerlines and
also perching on top of the Arby's and Wendy's and near intersection of
Route 20 and West Ave on the west side of town. I know I've heard that Fish
Crows have colonized a few areas around Cleveland, but don't really know
how unusual they are in Ashtabula. They are still quite rare along the Lake
Erie shore further north in NY. I'm thinking they probably have been
reported in Ashtabula, but figured you might be interested to hear about
the sighting. Also feel free to pass along to Ohio birds if you want.
