Randy Shonkwiler and I visited the Marysville Reservoir and Glacier Ridge today. There was a Red-necked Grebe on the reservoir (plus a small collection of other grebes and ducks), and we heard a Virginia Rail near the Osprey platform at the Honda Wetlands section of Glacier Ridge; it sang repeatedly. Songbirds weren't very numerous today...a few Yellow-rumps, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and such, but the large number of Blue-winged Teal (near the rail) made up for it; we also saw a few snipe in the same area, and in the big pool near the parking lot.
