Hello Birders,

Today at Margaret Peak Nature Preserve in Eaton Township the freshly-planted soybean field had some flooded areas with a few shorebirds, including Killdeer, Lesser Yellowlegs, Least Sandpiper, Semipalmated Sandpiper and Spotted Sandpiper.

In addition there are Horned Larks with young, Indigo Buntings and Swamp and Savanah Sparrows.

The tornado that passed through earlier in the week tore through a woodlot next to Peak. You can see felled and twisted evergreens.

Happy birding!
