Many thanks to the friendly birders from Huron County this morning at Mohican, who helped me spot the Evening Grosbeaks---about 10:45. That was a life bird for me! (The walk from the gorge overlook parking lot is an easy one.)
After I returned home, I saw another lifer that I somehow had missed in 10+ years of birding. At my Ashland yard feeder--a wreath of birdseed--I saw my first common redpoll. So two lifers today was a great start to my first week of retirement :-)
Pam Jordan, Ashland
