Regarding my last post, about hotspots for birding, Dane suggested that I remind everyone that I live in La Rue (think Big Island...and I can't really go to Big Island or Killdeer due to dunk season...err duck season).

I don't mind going to Lake Erie area but I was looking for somewhere within two to three hours drive time, that way if I leave at 6, I can get some good light.

It's more of a "scouting" mission if you want to call it that. Somewhere where I can get some good pics and keep it in mind for next year. (Basically this will probably be my last chance to get out of the house for a weekend day.)

I've been to almost all of Northern Columbus and Lima area as well as Magee.

I'm not looking for ducks and dablers per say but more more of the woodland birds and the like. Siskins and sparrows are good because they don't mind me getting close.

Thanks for any help. And if anyone want's to give me the nickle tour then let me know.
