Quick notes from various locations (accompanied by Emil Bacik):

lakewatch from Sherod Park:

Black-bellied Plover  4
Baird's Sandpiper  1

Huron Pier:

Common Tern  14

Huron River flats:

quick stop - many shorebirds and resting gulls inc. 100+ L. Yellowlegs and 15
Stilt Sandpipers

Cedar Point Chausee:

MARBLED GODWIT  3  pretty cool, close range
few other shorebirds

Also, a singing first-yr Northern Parula at Nickle Plate Beach (Huron) -
cool because Mary-Anne Romito observed similar behavior today in Cuyahoga Co.
At least in my experiences, parulas are the most frequent singers among the
warbler sp. in the fall.  Usually, these are young males singing a pubescent
mixture of buzzes and musical trills - still rather nice to hear this time of
year!  Six warbler sp. were at this lakefront park, a good number of thrushes,
Yellow-bellied Spasucker, and G-c Kinglet.

Good birding -
Gabe Leidy
