I was at The Common Ground, Oberlin, Lorain County today. Not there to bird watch, but I managed to sneak away for a bit. I caught a glimpse of a bird which I thought was a Great Crested Flycatcher. Lighting was not great, but it's body structure was like a smaller, skinnier Blue Jay. The crest on top was clearly visible the entire time and my field guides indicate that the crest is not often seen. Could I have misidentified this bird based on the very visible crest? Other likely suspects? Thanks in advance.
