Hi,
Corning Lake had what is most probably a Common Moorhen this morning. I
could only see the silhouette, but chance certainly favors this species
over something more exotic. Also Swamp Sparrows joined Song and Lincoln's
for a melospiza sweep. My first Blue-gray Gnatcatcher of the season too.
Brian Parsons re found the Sora yesterday. Nice to know it is sticking
around.
What I assume were Little-brown bats were also present in the vicinity of
the bat house. My first sighting of bats this year. All fun stuff on an
early morning walk.
