Afternoon,
Just stepped out to get some fresh air and took my binoculars to scan the
trees in the back of my development. Completely random and by chance, at
about 75 yards I spotted a male pileated woodpecker perched on a 30 ft.
maple. Beautiful red crest and around 18"...serendipity!
