Hello Ohio Birders,

This morning at around 8:45 Bill Heck, Alan Dolan and Greg Langham were on the west bank of the Scioto River at Greenlawn Dam where Bill and I spied a Goshawk flying north a few hundred feet above the east bank. Our view of the bird was quickly obscured by trees on the west bank and the hawk gave no indication that it was likely to land very soon. Birders along the Olentangy and Scioto Rivers north of Columbus might be on the lookout.

Dave Horn
