First time posting to the listserv, I'm a newer birder. Visited Pickerington Ponds yesterday 11/7 and was treated to 5 Sandhill Cranes. I was actually bending over to put my camera in my car when I looked up and saw 3 flying directly overhead. Those 3 headed across the road and were joined by 2 more.
In addition, saw many Mallards, American Coots, a few Green Winged Teal, Shovelers, 1 Pintail, Great Blue Heron and Great Egret. Also saw several of what I believe to be Eurasian Wigeon. They were far away and I have photos, but being new, I'm not positive. If anyone can help me with those I'd be happy to send or post the photos.
