One adult Black-Crowned Night Heron was seen in the north end of Lake Logan on Monday the 6th at 4pm. The night heron was first perching on a dead limb just above the surface and later dropped down into the water and partially submerged. It seemed to be enjoying a good soak.
Several Great Blue Herons and at least 4 Green Herons were also in the same location. Two of the Green herons appeared to be first summer birds. Ducks present included Wood Duck, Blure-Winged Teal, and of course Mallard.
