Friday, August 9 - 3 p.m.

A quick jaunt through the park this afternoon provided some interesting
sightings. Species seen include:

Caspian terns - 4
Great egrets - 11
Belted kingfishers - 4
Great blue herons - 20-30
Green herons - 3
Blue-winged teal - 1
Wood ducks
Mallards
Canada geese

The North Park was very, very quiet. The only singing bird was the always
reliable indigo bunting. A couple of eastern kingbirds, one northern
cardinal, two TVs, a red-tailed hawk, and one DC cormorant were the only others
to show themselves.

Happy birding,
Ed and Bev Neubauer
Englewood, Ohio
