I spent a couple hours at Conneaut Harbor this morning (5/19). There were a
few shorebirds moving, but few hung around due to all the bald eagle
activity. There were a minimum of 15 eagles sitting on the breakwall and
they constantly were flying around scaring everything off. Despite that,
there were a couple good birds. I had single red knot and white-rumped
sandpiper.. There were only a few gulls and most were ring-billed and they
were on the beach to the east. here is a list of the sandpipers
Semipalmated plover 7
Black-bellied plover 2
Killdeer 3
Spotted sandpiper 4
Ruddy turnstone 2
Red knot 1
Semipalmated sandpiper 3
Least sandpiper 1
White-rumped sandpiper 1
Dunlin 2
